Deleting an app on an iPhone is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to delete an app from your iPhone:

For iPhones with Face ID (iPhone X and later):

  1. Find the app you want to delete on your home screen.
  2. Press and hold the app icon until the icons start jiggling.
  3. You may see an “X” button on the top left corner of the app icon or next to the app name. Tap the “X” on the app you want to delete.
  4. A confirmation message will appear, asking if you want to delete the app. Confirm by tapping “Delete.”
  5. Press the Home button (or swipe up from the bottom of the screen) to stop the jiggling of the icons.

For iPhones with Touch ID and a home button:

  1. Locate the app you want to delete on your home screen.
  2. Press and hold the app icon until it enters “jiggle mode.”
  3. Look for the “X” button on the top left corner of the app icon or next to the app name. Tap the “X” on the app you want to delete.
  4. A confirmation message will appear. Confirm by tapping “Delete.”
  5. Press the Home button to exit “jiggle mode.”

For iPhones running iOS 14 and later:

  1. Long-press on the app icon until a menu appears.
  2. From the menu, select “Remove App.”
  3. Choose “Delete App.”
  4. Confirm the deletion by selecting “Delete.”

Please note that deleting an app removes it from your home screen and the device, but it does not cancel any subscriptions associated with the app. If the app was purchased, you can always re-download it from the App Store at a later time without having to repurchase it (assuming it’s a free or previously purchased app).
