You can transfer data from your old iPhone to a new one using several methods:

  1. Quick Start (iOS 12.4 or later):
    • Turn on both iPhones and place them close together.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions on your new iPhone until you see the Quick Start screen.
    • Use your current iPhone to scan the animation on your new iPhone.
    • Enter your current iPhone’s passcode on your new iPhone.
    • Set up Face ID or Touch ID on your new iPhone.
    • Follow the instructions to transfer data, settings, and apps.
  2. iCloud Backup:
    • Ensure your old iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
    • Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup on your old iPhone and tap “Back Up Now.”
    • Once the backup is complete, turn on your new iPhone and follow the setup instructions until you reach the “Apps & Data” screen.
    • Choose “Restore from iCloud Backup” and sign in with your Apple ID.
    • Select the backup you just created from the list and wait for the restoration process to complete.
  3. iTunes or Finder Backup:
    • Connect your old iPhone to your computer and open iTunes (on Windows) or Finder (on Mac).
    • Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes or Finder.
    • Choose “Back Up Now” to create a backup of your old iPhone on your computer.
    • After the backup is complete, disconnect your old iPhone and connect your new iPhone to your computer.
    • Select your new iPhone in iTunes or Finder, then choose “Restore Backup” and select the backup you just created.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restoration process.
  4. Transfer directly using a cable:
    • If both iPhones have a Lightning port, you can use a Lightning to Lightning cable (or USB-C to Lightning cable for newer iPhones) and the “Transfer Data” feature during the setup process on your new iPhone. This method allows you to transfer data directly from your old iPhone to the new one without using iCloud or a computer.

Choose the method that best suits your preferences and follow the instructions to transfer your data to your new iPhone.
